![]() After the regular season of a maximum of sixteen games, some team progressed to the Section Five Tournaments as determined by their LaxPower.com Power Rankings on May 16th. In Class A eight of the ten teams qualified and the top seeds proceded through the tournament to the finals. Penfield, the number two seed, defeated Pittsford, the number one seed, in a very close 10-9 game and won the Championship. Full Story |

The Rochester Democrat and Chronicle announced their 2013 All-Greater Rochester Lacrosse team today. The list features the top sixteen players and another sixty-five honorable mentions were led by Penfield senior midfielder, Sheila Nesselbush who was named "Player of the Year". Nesselbush, who was also named Monroe County Division I Player of the Year, scored 62 goals this year. The USLacrosse All-American has accepted a partial scholarship to study and play at Northwestern next year.
