Geneva Stays Perfect with Finger Lakes Victory

2025-04-09 - Geneva extended its undefeated record to 5-0 with a decisive 17-6 win over Newark-Midlakes in a Finger Lakes game on Wednesday. Leading the scoring for the Panthers were Allison Marquart, who tallied four goals and five assists, and Velia DeMaria, who netted eight goals. Maggie Mayer added two goals and two assists. Makenna Harris secured 15 draw controls in addition to scoring a goal. The win was Geneva's fifth straight against Newark-Midlakes since 2022.

For the Screaming Eagles of Newark-Midlakes (1-2), Zoey Overslaugh scored five goals, while Kendall DeBrock added one. Goalies Daniela Orozco-Aguilar and Maggie Lynch combined for six saves in 48 minutes of play.

Both teams now take an extended break in their schedules. The Panthers resume play when they travel to Eastridge-BK on April 22nd, and the Screaming Eagles visit Churchville-Chili on April 23rd.
