Brighton Defeats Canandaigua in Overtime
Brighton earned a hard-fought 13-12 overtime win against Canandaigua in a Monroe County matchup on Tuesday. Canandaigua held a three-goal lead after three periods but Brighton scored six goals in the fourth quarter to force overtime. The Bruins continue to hold a substantial lead in the series history between the two teams, with 15 wins against seven losses.
Canandaigua (5-9) was led by Nola Weaver (3g) and Lola Schorr (2g/3a). Additional scoring came from Alexandra DiSanto (1g/1a), Taylor Ennis-Chinn (1g), Keira Gioseffi (2g), Samantha Lupton (2g/1a), and Leah Sheridan (1g). Aviana Nelson recorded nine saves in 48 minutes of play. Brighton (5-8) did not submit a statistical report.
