Schroeder Gains First Win of Season
Schroeder (1-6) claimed its inaugural victory of the season, defeating Aquinas-WOIS 18-8 in a non-league matchup at Aquinas in the teams' first-ever meeting. The Warriors were led by Lola Wambach (4g/1a), Molly Meyer (4g), Brooke Guelli (3g/1a), Lindsay Ruffalo (3g/1a), Eve Pagano (2g/1a), and Olivia Schrage (2g). Goalie Maura Ugine had 10 saves and a 56% save percentage over 48 minutes.
Brynn Henry was a standout for Aquinas-WOIS (4-4), scoring five of her team’s eight goals, as well as collecting 12 draw controls. Savannah Hinchcliffe added two goals, while Haley Bennett had a goal and an assist.
The Warriors head to Brighton on Thursday for a battle against the Bruins. Aquinas-WOIS looks forward to its next contest at Livonia-Avon-Geneseo on Tuesday. [ Story and BOX SCORE]
