Brighton Over Penfield - Waterloo Over Aquinas

DAY IN REVIEW: MONDAY - There were ten games scheduled for today and a couple of close ones including Waterloo over Aquinas, Brighton over Penfield, and Spencerport over Mercy.

AQUINAS-10 at WATERLOO-11 - Waterloo (6-2) was led by Maci Mueller and Lainie Forde, each of whom scored three goals, and Peyton Lyons, who recorded seven saves.  Jordan Peterson and MacKenzie Tam each scored her first varsity goal for Waterloo.  Kessa Sangasy led Aquinas (5-4) with four goals.  Waterloo visits Pal-Mac on Wednesday.  Aquinas hosts Mercy on Friday.        [ BOX SCORE

Aq vs WaterlooPENFIELD-5 at BRIGHTON-7 - The Bruins gained a measure of revenge for their overtime loss to the Patriots two weeks ago.  Lucy Lederman led Brighton (3-6) with two goals and ninth-grader Lucy Peters registered her first varsity goal.  There were no statistics reported from Penfield (6-4) at post time.  Both teams resume play with home games on Wednesday, with Brighton facing Hilton and Penfield taking on Fairport.        [ BOX SCORE

MERCY-10 at SPENCERPORT-12 -  With the game tied at 8 after three quarters, Spencerport (8-3) pulled away in the fourth to secure the win.  The Rangers were led by Molly Guzik (3g/1a) and Brooke Endres (3g/1a); the pair also combined for 16 draw controls including, for Endres, the 100th of her varsity career.  For Mercy (6-4), Sydney Cook had three goals and Elinor Meyer had 15 saves.   Both teams take to the road for their next games, with Spencerport taking on Canandaigua Wednesday and Mercy facing Aquinas on Friday.        [ BOX SCORE

CORNING-7 at FAIRPORT-14 -  With the victory, Fairport (9-2) extended its winning streak to seven games.  Camryn DuBose had a game-high five goals for the Red Raiders and Olivia Bardeschewski scored her first varsity goal.  The Red Raiders travel to Penfield on Wednesday to take on the Patriots.        [ BOX SCORE

HILTON-4 at HONEOYE FALLS-LIMA-17 -  Eight players scored for HF-L (3-6), including Katie Adams (3g/1a), Shaye Angelo (3g/4a), Paige Kidd (3g/3a), Camryn Trybuskiewicz (2g/2a), and Harper Jacob (3g).  Jayleigh Espesito had three goals for Hilton (3-6).  HF-L hosts Irondequoit on Wednesday.  Also on Wednesday, the Cadets travel to Brighton to meet the Bruins.        [ BOX SCORE

THOMAS-12 at PAL-MAC-5 - Hannah Ruller, Sophia Shortino, and Olivia Ritchie each scored three goals for the Titans, who have now strung together consecutive wins for the first time this season.  Megan Springer recorded eight saves for Thomas (4-7).  Reagan Diehl, Teagan Hudak, Anna Priebe, Jenna Santelli, and eighth-grader Brinn Castrechini all registered tallies for Pal-Mac (6-3).  The Titans are back in action Tuesday when they face Victor.  The Red Raiders host Waterloo on Wednesday.       [ BOX SCORE

Aq vs WaterlooMARCUS WHITMAN-7 at GANANDA-MARION-12 - For the Blue Panthers of Gananda-Marion, it was their first victory of the season.  Colleen Ginsberg (5g/1a) and Lexi Gallina (3g/2a) led the scoring for Gananda-Marion (1-8); Ginsberg’s second goal of the game was the 100th of her varsity career.  Maria Melnik had a strong game in goal for the Blue Panthers, registering 12 saves.  Aliysiah Clark was a bright spot for Marcus Whitman (0-8), tallying four goals, and Ryan Spychalski scored her first varsity goal. The Blue Panthers look to build on their recent success when they take on Geneva Wednesday.  Marcus Whitman seeks to break through Wednesday against Mynderse-Romulus.          [ BOX SCORE

NEWARK-MIDLAKES-6 at GREECE STORM-11 - The Storm improved its record to 6-3, led by a six-goal performance by Mara Misiurewicz and nine saves by ninth-grader Ava Torrance.  Eighth-grader Zoey Overslaugh had two goals for Newark-Midlakes (3-6).  Greece hosts Gates Chili on Wednesday.  The Screaming Eagles are back in action Tuesday when they visit Mynderse-Romulus.          [ BOX SCORE

BROCKPORT-6 at LIVONIA-AVON-16 - The win was the Lakers’ fifth straight over the Blue Devils dating back to 2022.  Leading the scoring for Livonia-Avon (6-3) were Lily Rowe (3g/6a), Sidney Clickner (3g/2a), and Maddie Whitford (4g/1a); Rowe also had a game-high eight draw controls.  MacKenzie Laursen had seven saves for the Lakers, and Emma Weterrings scored her first varsity goal.  There were no statistics reported from Brockport (4-6) at post time.  On Wednesday, Livonia-Avon is at Wayne, and Brockport plays host to the Saints from Churchville-Chili.        [ BOX SCORE

GENEVA-6 at EASTRIDGE/BK-9 -  Eastridge/Bishop Kearney (5-4) scored the only two goals of the fourth quarter to seal the win.  Jillian Willis (3g/2a), Kayla Gerson (4g), and Ada Krupa (2g) all had multi-goal games for Eastridge/Bishop Kearney; Krupa also recorded nine draw controls, including the 400th of her varsity career.  Allie Good had three goals for Geneva (3-6).  The Eastridge/Bishop Kearney squad travels to Greece on Friday to take on the Storm.  The Panthers face off against Gananda-Marion on Wednesday.        [ BOX SCORE
