There were eleven matches tonight in Section Five.  The closest match-up was Gates Chili over Ath/Ody 16-15.  Canandaigua defeated Schroeder in a two goal contest 11-9 and Aquinas defeated Penn Yan 9-7.  Additional scores included, Pittsford over Marcellus 14-10, Churchville-Chili over Brockport 14-6, Pal-Mac over Penfield 18-7, Spencerport over Lake Shore 22-10, Gananda over Newark 7-4, Mynderse over East Rochester 15-6, Brighton over Victor 10-3 and Fairport over Irondequoit 14-5.

Gates-Chili secured their first win of the season over Greece Ath/Ody 16-15.  Machealla Martin (6g-3a) and Emily Benham (4g-5a) led in scoring with 9 points each.  Additional stats are HERE.

Churchville-Chili scored the first goal and never trailed in their 14-6 win over Brockport.  The Saints were led in scoring by Katie Cosgrove with 4g-2a.  Cheyenne Clark recorded 5 draw controls to lead.  For Brockport, Leah Daly led with 3a, 5 draw controls, 8 groundballs and 3 caused turnovers.  Additional stats are HERE.

Pal-Mac increased to 13-1 with their 18-7 win over Penfield.  The Red Raiders were led in scoring by Anna Leva with 4g-5a.  Emma Arnold also recorded 4g-4a.  Arnold led her team in draw controls with 8, ground balls with 9 and caused turnovers with 4.  Additional stats are HERE.

Spencerport defeated Lake Shore 22-10.  Leading in scoring were Erin Coykendall with5g-6a and Emily Coykendall with 5g-3a.  Maliah Benedetto recorded 8 draw controls.  Additional stats are HERE.

Gananda scored the last five goals to defeat Newark 7-4.  Jenna Ginsberg scored two in the final stretch.  She also led in draw controls with 4.  She and Melissa Camp recorded 3 caused turnovers each.  Additional stats are HERE.

Brighton led 7-2 at the half on their way to a 10-3 win over Victor.  The Baron's Piper Davis recorded 3 draw controls, 2 ground balls and a caused turnover.  Katie Lederman and Kathryn Smolensky each recorded 2g-2a and Rene Gangarosa recorded 3g-1a.  Additional stats are HERE.
