Bailey Cooper Scores in OT for Mustangs

PENN YAN-10 at CANANDAIGUA-9 - The Mustangs rallied from a 9-6 fourth-quarter deficit to tie the game at nine on a goal by Lila Hansen with just over two minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, before Bailey Cooper scored the game-winner 39 seconds into the first overtime.

Leading the scoring for Penn Yan (14-1) was Bailey Cooper (4g/1a), who also collected a game-high seven draw controls. Lila Hansen and Makenna Mullins each scored two goals; Makenna Mullins also notched the 100th draw control of her varsity career. Miley Anderson assisted on three of the Mustangs' goals.

For Canandaigua (11-4), Leah Sheridan, Maci Mueller, and Keira Gioseffi tallied three goals apiece. Maci Mueller's third goal of the game was her 50th of the season. Lola Schorr handed out two assists. Ninth-grader Taylor Ennis-Chinn recorded the 100th draw control of her career. Morgan Whyte picked up three ground balls and caused four Penn Yan turnovers.
