Mercy Edges Baldwinsville

Mercy secured a narrow 10-9 victory over Baldwinsville (Section III) in a competitive non-league game on Saturday. The Monarchs had two players achieve career milestones in the game: Mia Quagrello, who scored her 100th career goal, and Elinor Meyer, who recorded her 200th career save.

Mercy (9-2) spread out its scoring attack with two goals each from Mia Lusardi, Lydia Malvaso, Mia Quagrello, and Maeve Shanahan, who also had an assist. Krista Harnischfeger added a goal and two assists. Sophomore goalie Elinor Meyer played a key role for the Monarchs, making 10 saves on 19 shots for a 53% save rate.

For Baldwinsville (6-5), Peyton Dyl scored three goals, with Raegan Ratliff adding two goals and one assist. In goal, Makenna Polky registered 10 saves for Baldwinsville.
