Brockport Beats Gananda-Marion

Brockport earned its fourth victory of the season with an 18-3 win over Gananda-Marion in Saturday’s non-league matchup. Kendall Akers led Brockport (4-10) with five goals. Molly McJury contributed four goals and also collected 10 draw controls. Additional scoring came from Bella Bruno with three goals, Allison Cole with one goal and one assist, and Samantha Webster with two goals. Senior defender Naomi Stroup recorded her first varsity goal. In goal, sophomore Jessica Maher made four saves for a 57% save rate over 48 minutes of play.

Gananda-Marion, still seeking its first win, was led by Ella Michaels (2g) and Lexi Gallina (1g). Eighth-grader Malina Alejandro won seven draw controls for the Blue Panthers.

Both teams are back in action on Monday, with the Blue Devils traveling to face Gates Chili to take on the Spartans and the Blue Panthers heading to Marcus Whitman.    [ Story and BOX SCORE
