HFL and R-H Win Championships
The Championships for Classes A and C were won tonight as HF-L won their tenth straight championship (12th in total), and Rush-Henrietta won their first since 2008.
HONEOYE FALLS-LIMA 18 - GENEVA 8 - CHAMPIONSHIP - There were no reports from either team at post time. In what has become an annual rite of spring, Honeoye Falls-Lima captured yet another class C championship, defeating Geneva, 18-8. For the Cougars, it was their tenth consecutive title dating back to 2012. Geneva finishes at 9-8. [BOXSCORE] There are also some game photos available.
RUSH-HENRIETTA 9 - PITTSFORD 3 - CHAMPIONSHIP - There were no reports from either team at post time. Rush-Henrietta took the class A title, pulling away from Pittsford in the second half to claim a 9-3 victory. Rush-Henrietta broke up a tight game with five unanswered second-half goals. For the Royal Comets, it is their first class A title since 2008. Defending champion Pittsford finishes its season with a record of 14-4. [BOXSCORE] There are also some game photos available.
