2018-04-27 - Victor defeated Irondequoit 17-10.  The Blue Devils scored the first three goals of the contest and never trailed.  The Eagles kept the game close for a while, before the Blue Devils slowly pulled away.  The opening goal was scored by Danielle Colucci with a feed from behind the cage by Riley Urzetta.  Only 0:12 later, Kylie Gelabert scored on a fast-break after grabbing the draw control directly from the circle.  Another 0:14 later, Lucy Haggerty scored off an inside feed from Hanna Kumpf.  The Blue Devils scored three goals in under 27 seconds.

Irondequoit scored the next two goals.  Leah O`Sullivan scored their first off, the third pass after and 8m free possession.  The assist came from Marina Butler.  Maddie Verhagen scored the next goal off the 8m line without any passes.  The Eagles had pulled within two, but Victor scored five of the next six to increase their lead to 8-3 before Irondequoit scored again.  Colucci scored three of the five for the Blue Devils and Kumpf scored the remaining two.  The lone Eagle’s goal was scored by Verhagen.  Irondequoit added one more goal before the half with an 8m goal from Maira Brennan.  Victor led 8-4 at the half.

In the second half, Victor added two more goals in the first six minutes.  Urzetta scored off a feed from Colucci.  Emily Battisti scored the tenth Blue Devils goal with a single drive along the goal line.  She switched hands across her body to finish directly in front of the cage.  Irondequoit responded with the next two goals.  Bridget Inclema scored the first and Ericka Sherwood scored the second.  Sherwood scored her goal with a single drive from mark behind the cage. 

The Blue Devils continued to pull away, again scoring five of six straight goals.  Battisti scored two with Kumpf, Urzetta and Maddie Brien rounding out the scoring.  Butler scored the lone Eagle’s goal off an feed from Sherwood (who was on the 8m line).  Sherwood added two more of her own to finish out the game.  She scored with an impressive single player drive to the cage with 7:06 remaining.  A short time later, she scored again off a drive from behind the cage.  Victor’s final goals were scored by Brien (off the 8m) and Gelabert off a feed from Katie Castiglia.
