Victor defeats Irondequoit

Victor defeated Irondequoit 17-10.  The Blue Devils scored the first three goals of the contest and never trailed.  The Eagles kept the game close for a while, before the Blue Devils slowly pulled away.  The opening goal was scored by Danielle Colucci with a feed from behind the cage by Riley Urzetta.  Only 0:12 later, Kylie Gelabert scored on a fast-break after grabbing the draw control directly from the circle.  Another 0:14 later, Lucy Haggerty scored off an inside feed from Hannah Kumpf.  The Blue Devils scored three goals in under 27 seconds. Newark-Midlakes defeats Eastridge in Sole Game

Brighton Fights Back for Late Win

Brighton scored four of the last five goals to comeback and defeat Fairport 14-13.  Both teams held the lead throughout the game, with Fairport holding the largest lead of 9-5 early in the second half.  In total there were seven lead changes in the game and each time that one team threatened to pull away, their opponent came back to tie the game. Pal-Mac Wins in Sixth Annual Cradle for the Cure

In the first game of the Girls-Boys Double Header of the "Cradle for a Cure" program, the girl's of Pal-Mac defeated Wayne 20-2.  This marked the sixth annual "Cradle for a Cure" matchup to support a local family and Camp Good Days and Special Times.  The local fundraising/awareness event is currently in its sixth year.  After the Girl's match-up, the Boys played with Wayne defeating Pal-Mac 17-9.  The Boy's story can be found HERE. Full Saturday of Games

Seven teams played out of Section competition today.  At this time, there are still outstanding scores for three of those matchups.  The reported scores include, Mynderse-Romulus over Mt. Mercy 20-1, Rush-Henrietta over Oswego 19-1, Mercy over Amherst 17-6 and Aquinas over Sacred Heart Academy 21-5.  Today also saw the sixth annual "Cradle for a Cure" at Wayne.  The Girls and Boys Wayne program faced off against Pal-Mac.  For the Girls Pal-Mac defeated Wayne 20-2.  Remaining scores included, Hilton over Brockport 18-7 and the closest game of the night in Spencerport over Canandaigua 8-7. McCabe Scores in Overtime for Thomas

Draw controls were the name of the game in tonight’s Webster Thomas victory over Victor 8-7 in double overtime.  Junior midfielder Molly McCabe finished the game with 1g-1a and scored the game winning goal in the first Sudden Victory overtime period. Full Story

Multiple Weather Cancellations

Five of the eight games that were initially scheduled today were cancelled/postponed due to weather concerns.  In the closest of the three that were played, Gananda defeated Eastridge 7-6.  Rounding out the day, Mynderse-Romulus defeated Elmira Free Academy 11-9 and Marcus Whitman defeated Wayne 15-6. Two OT Games for Friday Night

There were two games that went to overtime tonight.  Rush Henrietta Junior Gabby Garrett scored the game winning goal in the first overtime period to defeat Canandaigua 9-8 and Whitesboro defeated Waterloo 14-13 in overtime.  Additional games played tonight were Thomas over Mercy 15-8, Irondequoit over Gates Chili 16-3, Greece Storm over Eastridge 12-4, Penfield over Brighton 13-5 and Fairport over HFL 10-8.  Victor travelled to West Genesee to become the third team to face the Wildcats this season; West Genesee defeated Victor 17-3. There were seven games played tonight in Section Five.  Canandaigua remained undefeated at 4-0 with their 9-8 win over Thomas in the closest matchup of the night.  In other scores, West Genesee defeated RH 10-3, Pittsford defeated Brighton 7-4, Schroeder defeated Eastridge 14-1, Mercy defeated Clarence 14-6, Victor defeated Brockport 14-3 and Irondequoit defeated Churchville-Chili 18-6.   Full Story

Newark Scores Five Unanswered in Win

Newark scored five unanswered goals to turn the tide in their 10-7 win over Livonia.  The Reds led 9-3 at the largest lead, before Livonia scored four of the last five to pull within three.  Newark was led in scoring by Caitlin Chopan (3g-1a) and Claire DeBoover (1g-3a).  The Reds outshot the Bulldogs 24-15 and although Livonia goalie Emily Carr had a strong game with 9 saves, it was not enough for the Bulldogs.
