# 306  All Greater Rochester 2017

The Rochester Democrat and Chronicle announced their 2017 All-Greater Rochester Lacrosse team on Friday. The list features the top sixteen players and a number of honorable mentions were led by HFL senior Caitlin Muir who was named Player of the Year. She finished the season with 64g-30a.  She will continue to play next season at Michigan.

# 302  State Finals

Pittsford and HFL both advanced to play in the State Finals.  The Panthers defeated Middle Country 10-9 in double overtime to secure their first State Title.  The Cougars fell to Mt. Sinai 15-4.  Scoring information was obtained directly from NYSPHSAA and may be updated by Coaching/Reporting Staff.

# 150  Sectionals Recap

The 2016 Sectional Tournament concluded with Pittsford (Class A), Victor (Class B) and HFL (Class C) as Champions.  This was the third straight win for the Panthers, the third straight win for the Blue Devils and the fifth straight win for the Cougars.

# 139  Finals Match-ups

The final two days of Section Five lacrosse are upon us with the Sectional Titles being decided over the next two days.  The Class A Finals will be #1 seeded Pittsford vs. #2 seeded Fairport.  The Class B Finals will be #1 seeded Spencerport vs. #2 seeded Victor.  The Class C Finals will be #1 seeded Pal-Mac vs. #2 seeded HFL.  Class A Finals will be played on May 31st at St. John Fisher College in a Boys/Girls double header.  Class B and Class C Finals will be played on June 1st at Pittsford Sutherland.

# 86  Muir Excels in Victory

After a relatively close opening half, Honeoye Falls-Lima scored five unanswered goals to take control of the game over Canandaigua.  Although the Braves never gave up, HFL won 11-7.  The Cougars held a three goal lead for the entire second half; every time the Braves attempted a comeback the Cougars scored to keep strong control.

# 18  2015 All-Greater Rochester

The 2015 All Greater Rochester list was published at the end of the season and Webster Thomas senior Emily Resnick was named the 2015 Player of the Year by the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle.  All told, sixteen players were noted on the list.  Leading the charge were players from Churchville Chili, Victor, Pittsford and Irondequoit with two players each.
