Seventh-grader Fiona Diefendorf made a brilliant save with 15 seconds left on a shot by Ava Tata to preserve the victory. The Cadets had tied the game at five earlier in the fourth quarter when Jayleigh Esposito scored off a beautiful no-look feed from Ryleigh Lent.

With the win, the Bruins remain undefeated in their last eight meetings with the Cadets. There were no statistics reported from Brighton (5-8) at post time.

For Hilton (7-6), Jayleigh Esposito led the scoring with two goals. Charley Barlette, Ava Tata, and Ryleigh Lent had one goal apiece. Lola Vogt stopped 10 shots for a 63% save percentage.

The day's best finish came in the Pittsford-Penfield matchup, where Whitney Reynolds converted a free-position shot with two minutes remaining to lift Penfield to a 12-11 victory. Churchville-Chili also continued to own Brockport, making it eight straight wins in that rivalry.
