There were nine games tonight in Section Five.  The closest matchup was Schroeder's 12-10 win over Hilton.  Mynderse-Romulus defeated Newark-Midlakes by 3 (9-6) and Mercy defeated Pal-Mac by 4 (13-9).  The remaining scores were Brighton over Victor 13-5, Irondequoit over Churchville-Chili 16-3, Greece Storm over Eastridge 15-3, Gananda over Jordan-Elbridge 14-5, Thomas over Brockport 12- and Penfield over HFL 13-3.

# 328  Newark Scores Five Unanswered in Win

Newark scored five unanswered goals to turn the tide in their 10-7 win over Livonia.  The Reds led 9-3 at the largest lead, before Livonia scored four of the last five to pull within three.  Newark was led in scoring by Caitlin Chopan (3g-1a) and Claire DeBoover (1g-3a).  The Reds outshot the Bulldogs 24-15 and although Livonia goalie Emily Carr had a strong game with 9 saves, it was not enough for the Bulldogs.

Paige Knowles scored the game winning goal for Wayne in their 7-6 win over Newark.  Both team led for portions of the game before Knowles scored with 10:10 left in the second half.
