Mercy Edges Irondequoit in Thriller
April 14, 2025 - In a closely contested non-league lacrosse matchup, Mercy edged Irondequoit by a score of 10 to 9. Mercy's Mia Quagrello led her team with four goals, while Krista Harnischfeger added three goals. Rounding out the scoring for the Monarchs were Maeve Shanahan (1g/2a), Sydney Cook (1g), and Maddie Craig (1g). Goalie Elinor Meyer had six saves.
For the Eagles, Grace Bottiglier (4g), Lucy Whipple (3g), and Ellie Bottiglier (2g) accounted for all of the scoring. Revlie Genier and Rylee Conlon each had an assist. Emma Francis was steadfast in goal, stopping ten shots.
The Monarchs resume their season on April 23rd when they travel to Brighton, while the Eagles host Penfield on Wednesday.
