Wayne Over Gates Chili
April 11, 2025 - The Eagles defeated Gates Chili 15-7 in a non-league game on Friday evening, and are now undefeated against the Spartans in 15 games dating back to 2014. The Eagles' offense was led by Lauren Twist, who tallied seven goals and two assists, and Isabella Veltre, who contributed five goals and three assists. Additional scoring came from Samantha Branner (1g/1a), Sara Cass (1g), and Anabelle Ruffell (1g). Gates Chili did not submit a post-game report.
Wayne's record now stands at 4-0 as they prepare to face Jordan-Elbridge (section VI) Tuesday morning, while Gates Chili, still searching for its first win, will play Churchville-Chili on April 21. [ Story and BOX SCORE]
