Mercy Triumphs Over Waterloo
April 11, 2025 - In an early season battle of unbeatens, Mercy defeated Waterloo 16-3 in a non-league lacrosse game held Friday evening. Eight different players scored for the Monarchs. Maeve Shanahan led the Monarchs' offense with three goals and two assists. Mia Lusardi contributed four goals, while Avery Parrinello and Mia Quagrello added two goals and two assists each. Elinor Meyer was perfect in goal, making three saves with a 100 percent save rate during her 24 minutes of play. Juliette Lana had four saves and a 57 percent save rate in 24 minutes.
For the Tigers, Maci Mueller accounted for all three goals, and goalie Peyton Lyons made six saves.
The Monarchs are now 3-0 and will host Irondequoit on Monday. The Tigers (3-1) visit Gananda-Marion on April 23. [ Story and BOX SCORE]
