Penfield Outpaces Fairport
April 9, 2025 - In a Monroe County lacrosse game on Wednesday night, Penfield secured a decisive 14-4 victory over Fairport. Penfield (3-1) showcased balanced scoring, with eight players contributing goals. Leading the attack was Peyton Rothfuss, who tallied four goals and two assists, followed by Reegan Sercu with one goal and three assists. Karis Hand, Penfield's sophomore goalie, made five saves.
Camryn DuBose led the Red Raiders with two goals and an assist. Ella Peers and Kate Patterson each chipped in a goal. Fairport goalie Marisa Test, facing persistent offensive pressure from the Patriots, made seven saves. Fairport falls to 1-2 on the young season.
Both teams now turn their attention to their next games, with the Patriots hosting defending NYS class C champion Sayville (section XI) on Saturday, and the Red Raiders visiting Thomas on Thursday.
