Eagles Pick Up First Win
April 8, 2026 - WAYNE-17 at NEWARK-MIDLAKES-7 - The Eagles picked up their first win of the season. Lauren Twist had a remarkable nine goals and four assists to lead Wayne (1-1). Julia DiLeo (4g/1a) and Anabelle Ruffell (2g/1a) were also key to the Eagles' attack. Ninth-grader Avery Crandal scored her first varsity goal in the game.
For Newark-MIdlakes (1-1), Zoe Overslaugh and Kendall DeBrock led the scoring with three goals apiece; for Zoey Overslaugh, her second goal of the game was the 100th of her varsity career. Goaltender Maggie Lynch recorded 10 saves, including the 100th of her career.
