Victor Falls to Sayville in a Close Game
March 28, 2026 - DAY IN REVIEW: SATURDAY - Saturday's marquee matchup saw Sayville (2-0) (Section XI) edge Victor 6-5 in an early-season meeting between two of New York's top programs, handing the Blue Devils their first loss of the season. Away from that headliner, it was a strong day for individual performances, with Rush-Henrietta's Taylor Potwin reaching 100 career saves in a 10-5 win over Corning, Canandaigua's Lola Schorr racking up eight assists in a 19-4 win over Vestal, and Livonia-Avon-Geneseo's Maddie Whitford posting four goals and two assists in a 12-10 win over Hamburg.
